NEW! FOR YOUR GIFT OF ANY AMOUNT

As we engage Muslims in conversation, our job is to plant a seed, to pray, to love, and to trust God to bring souls to life in Him (see 1 Corinthians 3:6-7). The Quran discourages Muslims from asking questions about Islam's teachings (Quran 5:101), so one of the ways we can plant a seed in the heart of a Muslim is by giving them an opportunity to think critically. Invite your new Muslim friend to consider this question with you.

Even the Quran says that Jesus is alive, but Mohammed is in the tomb.

BACKGROUND:

In the Quran, Jesus is a prominent and highly revered prophet. It even says that Jesus did not die, but was taken up to heaven (Quran 3:55). Mohammed, however, lies in a tomb. We know that Christ is the Messiah not only because He lived a perfect life and died for our sins—but also because He is the only God-man who rose from the dead!

THE QUESTION:

"How do you know that your god is alive? Do you have a relationship with him?"

THE CHRISTIAN RESPONSE:

I know my God is alive. I have a relationship with Him today because Jesus died for my sins on the cross to save me. But death could not hold Him, and He rose again from the dead! Even the Quran says that Jesus is alive, but Mohammed is in the tomb. Today, Jesus is reigning and ruling from heaven, and one day He will return. I have assurance of salvation because Jesus has perfectly paid the price for all my sin.

Every day, God speaks to me through His Word and His Holy Spirit, giving me comfort, strength, and confidence for each day so I can say no to sin and grow in faith, love, and godliness as I follow Jesus, who calls me friend (see John 15:15). If you surrender to Christ, you can have a relationship with Him, too, and the assurance that you will spend eternity with Him.
