Lives Transformed in Cairo

Born in Egypt and having fled its socialist dictatorship as a young man, Dr. Michael Youssef’s prayer has always been for the people in his home country to know Christ. When the opportunity came for him to return and preach the Gospel before thousands, it was a door only God could have opened.

In the midst of turbulent wars and ongoing unrest in the region, nearly 18,000 people traveled from across the region to attend Leading The Way’s city-wide Evangelistic Celebration in the heart of Cairo. The scale of the event was unprecedented, becoming the largest multidenominational Christian event in Egypt’s history.

Nearly 8,000 people—a stunning 44% of attendees—made decisions for Christ as Dr. Youssef urged attendees to surrender their lives to Him while the door is still open.

The response to the Gospel at Leading The Way's Egypt Celebration was historic.

    Hundreds of churches were mobilized to impact their communities. One local pastor shared, “It has never happened in Egypt to have a Christian event with so many people and to see such a large number respond.

  • A Revival Among Youth

    Approximately 35% of those who made decisions for Christ were youth, a crucial step in mobilizing the next generation for Christ.

We are praying for another powerful movement of God when Dr. Youssef returns to preach at the WIN Entertainment Centre on March 29, 2025. The evening before, Leading The Way is partnering with local churches to hold a Celebration for youth, who have responded overwhelmingly at the ministry’s previous Celebrations.
