question:
"What makes Christianity different from other religions?"
Jesus is unique among all religions and their founders.
answer:
Jesus is unique among all religions and their founders. A Chinese scholar who came to Christ illustrated it this way: A man wandered from the road and fell into a hole so deep and slippery that escape was impossible, so he cried out for help. Soon Buddha came and gazed down at this helpless man and, after a time of contemplation, said, "My poor man, such is the trickery of fate. Resign yourself to your doom." And with a shake of his head, he departed.
Then Confucius came and broke into a tirade: "Fool, why did you stray from the road? Take my advice: If you ever get out of the pit, walk only in the center of the road." And he left.
The desperate man cried out again, and someone approached him full of compassion. Stripping the rich cloak off His back, the Son of God leaped into the pit, lifted the helpless man on His shoulders, sat him on the ground, and said, "Now, My son, take My cloak and go home."
Jesus not only gave His life to save us from the pit of sin, but He gave us the garment of His righteousness and sent us on our way home to heaven!
