Christ Our Hope: Amman, Jordan
Just days after Iranian missiles were intercepted over Jordan, Dr. Michael A. Youssef stood before a crowd of 1,600 people in Amman to proclaim the Truth at Leading The Way’s Christ Our Hope Gospel event. As he taught from Matthew 19, Dr. Youssef spoke plainly to hearts long burdened by uncertainty and searching for Truth:
“The only authentic ticket to heaven is stamped with the blood of Jesus Christ. That means you have to acknowledge your sin. You must humble yourself and acknowledge that only Jesus can save you. . . . You cannot guarantee one minute of your life. The Bible says that today is the day of salvation. If you hear His voice, harden not your heart.”
Of those gathered, more than 500 stepped forward to make decisions for Christ—nearly one in three attendees. The gathering was broadcast live on Leading The Way‘s KINGDOM SAT channel and streamed globally on YouTube, Facebook, and LTW.org, extending the reach of the Gospel far beyond Amman.

A Rare Opportunity in a Turbulent Region
Two days after Dr. Youssef departed for Jordan, the U.S. Embassy issued a Level 3 travel advisory—one level short of telling Americans not to go at all. The ripple effects of the Iran-Israel conflict had reached Jordanian soil. But Dr. Youssef had already arrived in Amman, his focus fixed on an unshakeable conviction: the Lord had appointed this moment for a reason, and He had opened a door to passionately proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
More than 1,600 Jordanians gathered beneath an open sky, exceeding every projection. As the altar call unfolded, Dr. Youssef looked out over the crowd and shared with tears, "I knew in my heart that God brought here for a reason. Someone needed to hear this message." And in God’s perfect timing, in the heart of the Middle East, the Gospel went forth.
Churches United & Hearts Transformed
Before the Christ Our Hope gathering, Dr. Youssef and his personal friend O. S. Hawkins, Chancellor of Southwestern Seminary, equipped local pastors to disciple new believers for a lifetime of growth in Christ. This partnership with local churches is key to long-term flourishing and spiritual fruit. Following the event, 308 new believers were enrolled in discipleship courses and will continue to grow spiritually as they are immersed in the Word of God.
Local leaders report that Christ Our Hope breathed new life into the Church in Jordan. Church leaders were unified across denominations, unified by their dedication to the Gospel.
This event gave the church a fresh breath.
