QUESTION:
"Sometimes I feel so broken. Does God even care?"
Those who love Jesus, whatever pain you’re experiencing, whatever fear you’re facing, whatever situation you’re struggling with, He’s weeping in sympathy with you.
ANSWER:
Don’t ever think that Jesus is not moved by your suffering and pain. Don’t ever think that Jesus is not involved in whatever ache you may be experiencing right now. Don’t ever think that Jesus is only walking with you and is not weeping with you—He is.
On Palm Sunday, as Jesus rode into Jerusalem amidst a celebrating crowd, He sobbed—He wept over the gravity of our sin and our blindness to it. He sobbed over the people who could not see their desperation and did not heed His warning. And He cried over His children’s sorrow. Those who love Jesus, whatever pain you’re experiencing, whatever fear you’re facing, whatever situation you’re struggling with, He’s weeping in sympathy with you. He’s weeping over believers’ broken hearts, over those who have experienced physical, emotional, and psychological pain.
The very last time the Bible mentions the word tears is found in Revelation 21:4: "He will wipe every tear from their eyes." All who have placed their hope wholly upon the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ can rejoice, for He will personally wipe away all our sorrow, pain, suffering, and heartache. Soon and very soon, He shall wipe away all your tears.
