AWAKE Boston: The Beginning of a Nationwide Call to Revival
Spontaneous worship in the halls. Prayer continuing long after the message. Tears streaming down faces as hearts surrendered, repented, and gave thanks.
This was AWAKE Boston—the first stop in Dr. Michael A. Youssef’s city-wide AWAKE America rallies, which took place in the heart of Boston, the nation’s most educated city.
“We started in Boston for a reason. This is the birthplace of the First Great Awakening,” Dr. Youssef shared at the beginning of his message at the city-wide revival rally. “It is my prayer that God will send a spark that ignites the Third Great Awakening. That’s what I’ve been praying for nearly 60 years.”
Christians from across New England gathered to worship, pray, and cry out to God for another move of His Spirit in our nation. As Dr. Youssef proclaimed God’s Word, the message went far beyond the walls of the auditorium, with 8,000 livestream viewers joining online and thousands more tuning in LIVE on Leading The Way’s KINGDOM SAT channel across the Middle East.
In his message, Dr. Youssef urged believers to wake up from spiritual sleep, understand the urgency of the times, and “keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come” (Matthew 24:42).

At our first AWAKE America city-wide rally, God revived hearts, gathered believers in passionate prayer, and unified local ministries to reach their community for Christ.
There was a true move of God at AWAKE Boston. It shook me up and awakened me to what I had many years ago: my first love.
I’ve been away from the Lord for 34 years and came back after that horrible event on the college platform. This was one of my first events after coming back to my faith.
This was my first revival. I felt something special as soon as I walked in. I’m still feeling energized days later.
At AWAKE Boston, I was empowered to be more bold in my faith and was able to bring skeptics in my family to hear the Truth.
The most meaningful part of it was experiencing the faith movement in Boston.
AWAKE Boston gave me a sense of urgency to share my faith with others. I was empowered to be more bold.

Unity Among Ministries
Leading The Way partnered with 11 churches and engaged dozens of volunteers and ministry personnel. One local minister shared, “AWAKE Boston provided a catalyst for local ministries and churches to collaborate in reaching our city for Christ.” City Director Tim Kezar said, “It’s hard work advancing the Kingdom in New England—and yet, our rally was another impactful advance into the spiritual darkness. We saw dozens lay their burdens down and commit their lives to the service of the King of kings.”

Encouraging Believers in Secular New England
The spiritual hunger was palpable, with attendees traveling from across New England. One woman, who navigated sold-out hotels to bring her family, said, “I feel so alone as a Christian in Maine. I was encouraged and reminded that I am not alone.”
